Advanced Learning Technologies

The North Dakota University System's Advanced Learning Technologies (ALT) department, a unit within System Information Technology Services, focuses on current and emerging educational technologies that enhance and expand teaching and learning opportunities across the NDUS.  ALT will provide leadership for enterprise instructional systems and services like videoconferencing services, webconferencing services, course management systems, and other system-level, academic technologies.  In addition, ALT will coordinate with campuses the research and analysis of instructional technologies and assist with developing solutions based on specific instructional needs and desired outcomes.

Wimba Purchased by Blackboard – Now to be Called Bb Collaborate The name has change but the product is still the same. Bb Collaborate is the new name for Wimba. It still includes the suite of the engaging online collaboration tools you have been using – web conferencing (formerly Wimba Classroom), enterprise instant messaging (formerly Pronto, now Bb IM), and voice authoring (formerly Wimba Voice/Voice Tools).
